Abstract
With the development of China’s economy, English education becomes prevalent among Chinese society as a whole. Many of Chinese children are taught English lesson at a very early age. Nevertheless, English vocabulary memory ability is a big obstacle which hinders Chinese children from laying the solid foundation of English proficiency capability. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the present situation of Chinese children’s English vocabulary memory abilities and give the solution to deal with their memory problem. In this paper, Piaget’s theory of cognitive development and relevant strategies are utilized to help Chinese children to improve their vocabulary memory abilities.
