英汉时空隐喻的对比分析

Abstract
    Metaphor has been studied for many years, and a lot of researches on time and spatial metaphors have been done. This paper draws materials from daily life to analyze time and spatial metaphors in English and Chinese. It tries to do further study on the similarities and differences of time and spatial metaphors in English and Chinese. The similarities of time and spatial metaphors in English and Chinese result from the common thinking and life experience of human beings, while the differences are caused by the different social environments, customs, cultural backgrounds, philosophic thinking, and so on. Understanding the similarities and differences of time and spatial metaphors in English and Chinese could help English learners to understand English better, and it could also help them to know more about the relationship of language, culture and cognition.

摘  要
隐喻研究源远流长，也一直是人们研究的热点，而其中时空隐喻的研究则是最为活跃的领域。本文将取材于日常生活语料，对英汉时空隐喻进行对比分析，并进一步阐述英汉时空隐喻的相同点与不同点。时空隐喻的相同点源于人类思维与生活体验的共通性，而其不同点则源于不同的社会环境、风俗习惯、文化背景及哲学思想等。了解英汉时空隐喻之间的相同与不同将有助于加深英语学习者对对英语的理解，同时使其增进了解语言、文化、认知三者之间的关系。
