摘     要
二十世纪七十年代以来,研究英语教学的学者们开始重视学习者个体因素对其学习成绩的影响。传统以教师为中心的教学模式受到批评,学习中学生应担负较多责任,因而自主学习的概念受到越来越多的关注。学习者的学习风格及其偏好是个体因素主要内容。同时,当代英语学习更加突出学习者的自主性,而自主阅读是英语学习的一个重要方面,因而培养学习者英语自主阅读能力有助于促进英语学习。
本文研究对象是滨州学院英语专业2008级本科七班跨校41名学生。旨在研究英语专业学生的自主阅读能力,通过调查问卷形式,对41位学生的感知学习风格偏好情况进行统计,对他们的阅读能力进行考察,并探究个人知觉风格偏好如何影响其英语自主阅读能力。来自不同专科学校的41位同学受学校、性格、教育等影响,学习风格尤其各异。通过该研究,使学生意识到有意识的了解自己的学习风格可以促进自主学习;教师可更新学习风格知识,在学生自主学习过程中给予帮助。

The Influence of Perceptual Preference on English Majors’ Autonomous English Reading  
Abstract
From the 1970s, experts in English pedagogy came to emphasize on the influence of learners’ individual differences on their academic achievement. The traditional relationship between teachers and students has been criticized, and students are supposed to bear more responsibilities in English learning. Therefore, the concept of autonomous learning has received more and more attention. Perceptual learning style preference is an important part of individual difference. The learner-centered mode is highlighted and much attention is attended on students’ autonomy. It is necessary to train students’ independent English reading ability because it is an important part of English learning.
The present paper is focused on English majors’ autonomous English reading ability. The subjects are forty one English majors in class seven who are from different special universities. It is undertaken to investigate the frequency of forty one students' perceptual learning styles and their English autonomous reading ability, so as to explore the mechanism in which perceptual learning style preference affects learners’ English autonomous reading ability. Affected by different education background and characteristics, the students have different learning styles. Its purpose is to help students be conscious of the importance of knowing their learning styles preferences, and the teacher can update their knowledge to assist students' autonomous English learning.
