中美企业文化比较----以中国正泰集团和美国通用电气公司为例

随着企业管理的理论化和不断发展, 越来越多的人开始关注一种可以支撑企业不断发展的内在动力.自从1980年,迪尔和肯尼迪第一次提出企业文化这一概念,越来越多的学者开始把它看做是一种企业赖以生存和发展的重要力量.企业文化就像是“组织的性格”,而每个企业的性格通常会比较稳定,会在较长的时间内保持不变,即使企业人员变更,其文化却并不随之有明显变化.   
但事实上,很多企业的绝大部分都忙于处理具体的业务,很少花时间与精力去关注企业的核心价值或者企业文化.历史和调查都表明,企业文化对一家公司成功与否起着至关重要的作用.目前,随着世界经济和全球化的不断发展,越来越多的企业开始关注企业文化的作用,文化虽是抽象的概念,却对公司的切实利益紧密相关的因素,如客户满意度、员工产能、公司效益等起着直接的推动作用.
中国正在进一步深化改革开放,同时与国际社会的交流在广度和深度上都在不断发展,更多的外国公司在中国投资或与中国的公司合作,而中国的公司也更多地走出国门,参与世界范围内的竞争.伴随着这些日益频繁的跨国交流的是,文化因素越来越凸显出作用,不同的管理模式和企业文化势必造成交流与合作中的合作.
本文探讨了企业文化,研究了企业文化对企业的深刻意义.本文以中国正泰集团和美国通用电气公司为例,重点研究了中美两国不同的公司文化,并对此提出可行性的建议。

A Comparison of Corporate Culture between Chinese and
American Enterprises
---With Chint Group and General Electic Company as Examples

Abstract
  The concept of corporate culture is attractive because it may provide some language for speaking about the “personalities” of organizations. Actual organizations seem to have personalities which are fairly stable over time and independent of their actual members. Most companies spend the vast majority of their time focusing on their business processes;little if any time focusing on the core values that define their corporate culture. But history and research both show that these values are the single greatest factor in business success or failure. Nowadays with further development of the world economy and increasing trends of globalization,more and more companies realize the importance of culture aspects that can drive tangible factors such as customer satisfaction,employee productivity and turnover.
As China is getting more and more involved in the international community,an increasing number of foreign companies are investing or operating in China,and more Chinese companies have a presence outside China. Consequently,conflicts may arise due to differences in management modes and corporate cultures.
