探讨音意并行在中国古典小说题目翻译中的应用

随着中国日益提高的国际地位和越发频繁的文化交流 将中国古典小说介绍到国外已经成为一种必然。而书名作为整部书的名片，是沟通读者和作者的桥梁。而由于中西方思维文化的差异，难免会造成书名信息缺失，海外传播受到局限。
因此本文意在从中古典小说题目的汉译英出发，以目的论为指导，分析音意并行在古典小说题目翻译中的应用。最终得到结论在古典小说题目的汉译英中，不应该单单的使用译音法或译意法，应考虑音意并行，这既有利于提高书名的可识别性有利于译本与现代图书管理系统相结合，同时也有利于激发读者兴趣，有利于图书的海外传播。

Abstract
     
The enhanced International roles of China and an increasing number of cultural exchanges have made it necessary to introduce Chinese classical novels. As the brand of the whole book, title usually serves as the bridge between readers and authors. However, the divergence between Chinese and western culture gives rise to the missing information in Chinese-English title translation, causing the negative influence in Chinese culture’s overseas transmission.
 To deal with these problems, this article mainly focuses on Chinese classical novel title’ Chinese-English translation, analyzing how meaning-sound method should be applied in book title translation under the guidance of skopos theory. Finally, the paper proposes the importance and feasibility of adopting meaning-sound method in book title translation.
