简奥斯汀在《傲慢与偏见》中的婚姻观

《傲慢与偏见》是简•奥斯汀最杰出的作品。在这本书中，奥斯汀成功地将伊丽莎白塑造成集智慧，美丽与一体的化身。伊丽莎白有近乎完美的特质：美丽、聪明、勇敢、独立、自我认知等等，是奥斯汀所有作品中评价最高的人物。与其他作品比较起来，这部作品在语言上更明快，更犀利，更富有内涵。该作品中鲜明的人物塑造，妙趣横生的对白场景也使人回味无穷。

On Jane Austen’s Conception of Marriage in Pride and prejudice
Abstract: Nowadays, more and more people use a rational way to deal with their marriage. No matter what form the marriage takes, we cannot deny that people want happiness. Here comes up a question: what kind of conception of marriage is right? This question has been an eternal theme which harassed people’s minds for thousands of years. Jane Austen brought us a new conception of happy marriage two centuries ago. According to her conception, marriage not only involves the man and the woman but also is the product of certain social relations. So the conception of marriage of a certain time is bound to reflect social values and cultural concepts. In this sense, a realistic love story may provide more profound thoughts about love and marriage. Austen’s conception of marriage advocates the blend of sense and sensibility and the agreement between ideal and reality.
Pride and Prejudice is one of the most outstanding one among Jane Austen’s works. In this book, she successfully makes the heroine as the central intelligence of the work. Her heroine Elizabeth has perhaps received more admiration than any other heroine in Austen’s works who owns gaiety, courage and high spirit, wit and readiness, good sense and right sensibility. Compared to her other works, Pride and Prejudice is much lighter, brighter, more sparkling, and more competent.
This paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction of Jane Austen and her Pride and Prejudice. Through this part, we can know about the reason why Austen’s conception of marriage comes into being. The second chapter is the analysis part. The third chapter is about Austen’s conception of marriage by analyzing four types of marriages. The fourth chapter is about the practical significance and reference value brought by Jane Austen’s conception of marriage. The final part is conclusion.
