文化的碰撞与融合——西方动画片中的中国元素研究
最近几年，中国元素在美、日的动漫作品中频频出现，几乎每一次都受到了动漫爱好者们的青睐与好评，带给它们相当丰厚的收益。自从当年美国迪士尼制作的《花木兰》在中国掀起热播狂潮后，直至2008年美国梦工厂制作的《功夫熊猫》在中国上映，中国风在全球引起了强烈的反响，中国元素成为一种潮流，受到了世界人民的喜爱和欢迎。
然而，西方动画对于博大精深中国的文化并不可能全盘的吸收。动画作为一种商业文化必定要迎合大众的口味与审美，所以西方动画在引入了中国元素的同时，也在其中融入了西方不可磨灭的价值观和价值取向，而价值观的差异必定会带来文化的碰撞与冲突。所以，本文打算主要以《花木兰》、《功夫熊猫》、《丁丁历险记》等动画为例，以三种中国元素为主线，比较中西文化对待同一文化元素在理解上的差异，分析西方国家如何运用中国元素来向世人传达西方的价值观。在写中国元素走出国门融入世界文化的同时，分析中西文化再融合中的碰撞，同时结合国际环境背景，总结中国元素“红”遍世界的原因。
中西文化的比较一直是一个比较热门的话题，本文希望通过几部典型的热门西方动画，结合其中所吸收的中国元素，从小点出发，深入剖析中西文化的差异，西方对中国文化的理解以及西方对中国元素的运用。

Abstract: Nowadays, animations are everywhere. It influences the society in various ways, and especially it is enjoyed by the young. America and Japan, two major countries in the comic field, are playing great roles. Animations are the supporter and carrier for mass culture. They reflect life style, custom, history of their countries and peoples. Recently, elements with Chinese features have appeared quite frequently, and are loved and highly rated by their fans, thus bringing companies great profits. Ever since Mulan (1998), one big Disney animation, was made popular in China, and Kung Fu Panda was screened, Chinese style has kindled the enormous repercussions throughout the world. Chinese elements have become a trend, and are favored by all the people.
However, it is impossible that Western comics can absorb everything in the exquisite Chinese culture. Animations, which is also a business, have to cater to the public taste. So it is inevitable that while putting in Chinese features, Western values, such as individual heroism, pursuit of independence and freedom and religion, are still there. The projects on studying western animations to investigate the Chinese elements and values gain more and more attentions, which not only mirrors out the great success of Chinese culture around the world, but also reflects the mixture and reconciliation of the western and eastern cultures.
Despite the researches already done and achievements already made on the subject, many frontiers are still waiting to be explored. On the basis of the previous researches by forerunners and by adopting new approaches, this project is to achieve a deeper and more comprehensive understanding. Taking Mulan, Kung Fu Panda and The Adventures of Tintin: The Blue Lotus as examples for case studies, this project is to dig into the differences between western and Chinese cultures through those western animations with Chinese elements.
