《唐顿庄园》和《欲望都市》中的女性主义意识研究本文以影视作品《唐顿庄园》和《欲望都市》为例，通过对两部作品中不同时代的女性角色的性格及行为特征分析，旨在研究不同时期女性主义运动浪潮的特点，对当时社会的影响，尤其是对女性地位和女性思想解放的影响，并探讨女性主义在当今社会的现实意义和价值。
本文介绍了三次女性主义浪潮时期各自的特点，其中第一次女性主义浪潮表现为为妇女争取选举权；第二次女性主义浪潮表现为强调男女平等，消除两性差异；第三次女性主义浪潮表现为正视男女差异性，重视女性自身发展。
本文选取的两部作品具有极高的收视率，知名度及代表性。两部剧中的人物具有不同的社会背景，教育背景和性格特征。《唐顿庄园》中三位女性，代表了第一次女性主义浪潮时期女性在政治权利，爱情婚姻及工作权利等方面进行斗争的表现；《欲望都市》中的四位女性，则代表了第三次女性主义浪潮时期女性对家庭，工作，婚姻及性的态度及选择。

Abstract: The thesis focuses on analyzing different female characters in Downton Abbey and Sex and the City for the purpose of studying the features of the three waves feminism movements and the influences on modern society, especially on changing women’s status and liberating their thoughts. The thesis introduces the features of the three movements: the first-wave feminism on women’s political rights, suffrage in particular; the second-wave on eliminating gender differences; the third-wave mainly pursuing diversity.
The two series and movie chosen have achieved high popularity and representation. The female characters are in different social periods, education backgrounds and personalities. The three females in Downton abbey , Lady Edith,Lady Sybil and Isobel Crawly represent women fighting for suffrage, working rights as well as free love and marriage in the first-wave feminism period. Other four females in Sex and the City reflect women’s attitudes toward work, marriage, family and sex in modern society.
