大学英语教学文化因素研究

【内容摘要】

大学英语教学文化因素研究语言与文化的关系是学者们常常研究和思考的问题。语言和文化是相辅相成的,语言是文化的支撑,文化依靠语言来承载。故英语教学是无法脱离文化因素存在的,而文化因素也应融入到英语教学过程中。英语教学属于语言教学,在教学过程中要注重文化因素的渗透。但我国大学英语教学普遍存在着重语言技巧轻文化因素的现象,这不利于学生跨文化意识的培养。以文化教学策略为中心对2010级100名大三学生进行了问卷调查。通过数据分析,得出结论:在授课中教师应尽可能多的增加文化背景知识的输入量。这不仅可以增强学生的英美文化意识,还可以培养学生的英语思维能力,从而间接地提高学生的文化理解能力。同时,教师还必须注意输入的策略,给学生制造轻松愉悦的环境,比如可以通过观看电影、特别讲座、文化对比等形式,以活泼的形式促进学生文化水平的提高。

  On Cultural Factors in College English Teaching
           
Abstract: The relations between language and culture are the issues frequently researched and thought by scholars. Language and culture are indispensable, with language being the prop of culture and culture depending on language to pass down. Thus English teaching fails to exist when seceding from cultural factors and cultural factors should also accede to English teaching. English teaching belongs to language teaching during which the filtration of cultural factors should pay much attention. However, in China there is a ubiquitous phenomenon of emphasizing language skills while lessen the importance of cultural factors in college English teaching, which is harmful to the cultivation of students’ trans-cultural awareness. Centered on the cultural factors teaching strategies, the present paper makes a survey on junior students who from various majors. Through the statistics analysis, a conclusion has been found that teachers should increase the quantity of cultural background knowledge input when teaching, which could not only strengthen student’s cultural awareness but also cultivate their English thinking style in order to increase their cultural understanding capability. Meanwhile teachers should pay attention to input strategies and create a relax atmosphere for students and promote students to improve their cultural level through active method such as watching TV, special lectures as well as cultural comparison ,etc.
