试论《威尼斯商人》中的人文主义精神

《威尼斯商人》是莎士比亚的著名讽刺喜剧之一。它是资本主义社会初期资产阶级商人和高利贷者矛盾的一面镜子。本文通过分析该剧中人物的美德，即仁慈与友爱、忠诚和智慧，及剧中人物的理想，即个人主义、人文主义法律和宗教和谐，探讨了该剧所体现的人文主义精神。结论指出，仁慈可以化解矛盾，消除偏见，并有利于建立一个幸福、和谐的社会；《威尼斯商人》是一个闪耀着人文主义光芒的戏剧。

On the Spirit of Humanism in The Merchant of Venice
 

Abstract： The Merchant of Venice is one of Shakespeare’s famous ironic comedies. It is the mirror of the contradiction between the bourgeois businessmen and usurers at the beginning of the capitalist society. This paper deals with the spirit of humanism reflected in The Merchant of Venice, through the analysis of the virtues of the characters in the play, including mercy and fraternity, loyalty and wisdom, and of the ideals of the characters, including individualism, humanistic law and religious harmony. In the conclusion part, it is pointed out that mercy can resolve contradictions, eliminate prejudices and help build a society of harmony and happiness; The Merchant of Venice is a play glowing with the nobility of humanism.
