英国涉华纪录片中的中国形象建构：关于中国评价性语言的分析

国际社会是怎样看待中国的崛起已经成为全球范围内传播和政治领域所关注的焦点。因此，许多人致力于通过对新闻报道和其他相关资料的分析来研究中国国家形象是如何树立与提升的。作者发现在对涉华纪录片解说词的语言分析中仍然存在不足。本文以评价系统为理论基础，以BBC涉华纪录片中解说词为语料素材，通过对所选语料中相关语言词汇的态度分析来发掘这些纪录片所想要塑造出的中国国家形象。文章最后得出结论发现BBC涉华纪录片中通过评价性词语的使用表达了对中国的多种态度，从而达到了在观众心中塑造出各式各样的中国国家形象的目的。

Construction of China's Images in British Documentary Films ：
the Discourse Analysis of Evaluative Words about China

Abstract
How the international society see China as an emerging power has been a global focus both in communication and politics. Thus, many people devote to analyzing the construction and the promotion of China’s national image through the study of report and promotion materials. The author realizes that researches on the discourses of China-related documentaries have not been fully discussed. Considering that, this paper analyzes the discourses of China-related documentary films by BBC from the perspective of appraisal theory. According to the attitude analysis of the relative vocabularies in the selected linguistic materials, China’s image expected to be constructed in these documentaries is revealed. It is concluded that BBC’s China-related documentary films convey numerous different attitudes towards China by using appraisal vocabularies, with the aim of constructing China’s image from various perspective to the audience.
