严歌苓与谭恩美笔下女性角色的比较研究
A Comparative Study of the Female Characters in Geling Yan and Amy Tan’s Novels

Abstract：With the globalization of the world’s economy and culture, international exchanges have increased dramatically. Under this circumstance, we attach greater importance to Chinese American female writers. The research on American female writers has a practical significance to improving Chinese women’s ability to know themselves and to live independently. In this article, the description is used to survey the phenomenon to the female characters comparison in Amy Tan and Geling Yan’ novels, the results of which indicate that the different backgrounds effect their attitude to women and their novel creation styles. In this paper, my introduction is focused on Amy Tan and Geling Yan. The two writers have different backgrounds and expect different readers. However, both of them are female writers and mainly created female characters, so the comparative study on them are possible. On the basis of the analysis of their novels and the further analysis of the female characters, possible implication for modern women are provided.

摘要：世界经济文化交流的日益紧密，文化之间的传播也变得很迅速。在这大环境下，我们的目光也开始投向华裔作家身上，尤其是美国女性华裔作家。关注美国华裔女作家及其作品，对于女性意识的觉醒以及独立意识的培养都有很重要的意义。首先，本文会分析移民在创作中因为文化冲突所带来的创作灵感以及创作特质。其次，在解读分析严歌苓以及谭恩美笔下女性角色之后，会延伸到她们的创作以及成长背景上，进而发掘她们小说中女性角色的异同，以及所表达的女性主义特征。这些比较研究对于当代女性的独立意识以及压力下的生存都有很好的启示意义。
