教师肢体语言在小学英语课堂教学中的运用


摘  要
对当代学生而言外语学习(尤其是英语学习)是不可或缺的一部分,而且越来越引起人们的关注。在这种情况下如何进行有效的外语学习成为了当今的热点话题。本文主要探索在小学阶段教师在课堂上如何使用肢体语言。论文采用理论研究的方法从小学生的心理、生理特征入手,结合小学英语教学目标和新课程标准,分析体态语应用的重要性。其中调查表明在小学英语教学中,教师准确、适当、自然协调地运用体态语,艺术地运用表情、手势、眼神及身体距离,能有效地提高教学效果,以无声胜有声。教师除了要合理正确地使用肢体语言外,还要读懂课堂中各种学生的肢体语言,以便及时调整教学提高效率,激发学生学习兴趣。但是体态语的运用不当会引起师生互动的恶性循环,因此教师应避免各种消极体态语的使用。

Application of Teachers’ Body Language in English Classes in Primary School
Abstract
Foreign Language Learning as an indispensable part for current students gets more and more attention, especially for English Learning. Nowadays, how to acquire a foreign language effectively becomes a hot topic. The paper focuses on how to use teachers’ body language in English Classes in Primary School. Body language is an important agent for people to communicate in their daily life by means of facial expressions, eye contact, gestures, posture, space and distance. As it is visual, tangible and diverse, the employment of body language in primary school classroom meets the physical and psychological characteristics of students’. Besides it also keeps students’ curiosity in English learning and deepens their impression as well as inspires their imagination. Teachers should try to teach in English from the beginning to the end, together with the corresponding body language. In the end, the students’ ability of English will be certainly and greatly improved. However, teachers should avoid using all negative body language. In addition, teachers should understand the body language of students and promptly adjust teaching and learning in the classroom.
