本文将从认知模式中的概念隐喻和转喻两个角度来分析习语，从而证明习语是有理据的，可分析的，是我们概念体系的产物，而不是单纯的语言形式。这将会有利于我们更多的了解习语。ABSTRACT
Language is the most important conveyor of communication in our society. Idioms are the indivisible part to form the language. Language will become dull without idioms, while we make a good use of the idioms, the language will become fluent. So it is important to analyse idioms.
The traditional school of linguists and modern cognitive linguists all agree that idiomatic meaning is different from the phrase meaning. However, there is a disagreement as to whether the idioms can present our motivation. Based on the theory of famous linguists like: Lakoff, Fraser and so on, this thesis will try to analyze the idioms from the cognitive model of conceptual metaphor and metonymy, in order to prove that idioms are analyzable, and are the products of our conceptual system, not simple linguistic forms, then we can know more about idioms.
