xx市售货员英语交流的现状与培训

售货员一词,据《现代汉语大辞典》的定义，是指“在商店里出售货物的工作人员”。由于商品销售的方式不同,在中国，售货员也有不同的称谓，如营业员、推销员等等，但在英语中都统称为“salesman”。
本篇论文所研究的售货员特指在昆明地区较大商场进行商品销售的人员。
随着生产交换的国际化，现代商品市场竞争日趋激烈。昆明作为南亚地区首屈一指的省会旅游城市，每年来昆明旅游、定居的外宾人数越来越多，他们出现在各大购物场所的身影也越来越频繁。因此，各大购物中心对售货员各方面素质的要求也越来越高。售货员的服务质量直接关系到其经济效益的高低，英语语言能力直接反映整个购物中心的服务水平。因此，加强售货员的英语会话能力，提高对外国顾客的服务水平就显得尤为重要。
但目前，昆明地区多数公司对售货员的英文培训还存在不足，因此笔者对此提出了一些建议，希望帮助昆明地区的公司更好解决这一难题。

Abstract
The word of salesman in Modern Chinese Dictionary is defined as the staff selling goods in stores. Due to the different ways of merchandise selling, the titles of salesman are also different in Chinese, such as Ying Yeyuan, Tui Xiaoyuan and so on. But in English, they are collectively called salesman.
The research of salesman in this paper refers to the staff of merchandise sales in big shopping malls in Kunming.
With the internationalization of the production and exchange, the competition in modern commodity market is becoming fierce. Since Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan province, is a tourist city second to none in the area of South Asia, the larger the number of foreign guests coming there to settle or tour yearly is, the more frequent the appearances of these guests in major shopping places are. Therefore, demands for salesman in major shopping centers are higher and higher. The salesman's quality of service directly relates to the level of his economic benefits and the ability of English language is a direct reflection of the overall service level of the malls, thus it is particularly important to strengthen salesman’s English conversation ability and improve the service level for foreign customers in salesman’s quality training.
Nowadays, most companies’ English training for salesman is inadequate in Kunming, therefore the author puts forward some suggestions in hope of helping them to solve this problem.
