电影片名翻译中的归化策略

随着全球化的不断发展和人们生活水平的日益提高，电影逐渐成为了我们生活中必不可少的一部分，也为世界文化交流作出了不小的贡献。而电影片名在这过程中发挥了非常重要的作用。
 但由于各地文化差异的影响，在不同的地区和环境下，电影片名的翻译五花八门，“一名多译”的现象普遍存在。因此如何使电影片名的翻译既标新立异又雅俗共赏，是译者力求达到的目标，也是一道永远的难题。
本文将以美国翻译理论家劳伦斯•韦努蒂提出“归化法”为前提，其思想是使源语言向目标语靠拢，强调语言通俗易懂。并结合根据纽马克语言文本功能而得出的电影片名的三大功能，即信息功能、商业功能和审美功能来具体说明电影片名的翻译策略。文章选用了一些历年来的一些典型片名的翻译来举例说明归化策略是怎样有效融合片名三大功能来实现的。并且结合如今一些失败的片名翻译概括总结一些片名翻译中容易出现的问题，比如过度归化等以及一些解决方法。

The Analysis of Domesticating Method on the
Translation of Movie Titles
Abstract: With the continuous development of the globalization and the increasing of people's life standard, the film gradually becomes an essential part of our lives. It also make a great contribution to the world cultural exchange. And the film title has played a very important role in this process.
     However, due to the impact of the cultural differences, the translation of the film title is multifarious in different regions. The phenomenon that one film with several translated names is very common. So it's not only a common goal but also a puzzle for translators to make the translation of the film title to suit both refined and popular tastes.
     This thesis will explain some specific translation strategies basing on the domesticating method which is proposed by American translation theorist Lawrence Venuti. According to Newmark's language function theory , the text can be classified with several functions such as information function, express function, vocative function, aesthetic function and so on. And the film titles also have the same functions as a special kind of text which can be concluded with three main functions: information function, commercial function and aesthetic function. The most important part of the thesis talks about the specific application of the domesticating method  combining with the three film titles function. It also summary some problem caused in the process of the film title translation.
