从世界艾滋病日的主题看公益广告的翻译
12月1日是世界艾滋病日，中国三年来的宣传主题都是“Getting to zero ”，即“行动起来，向零艾滋迈进”。在现代社会,公益广告己成为传播信息、增强社会责任感、提升国际形象、赢得国际尊重的重要手段和必不可少的工具。
近年来，公益广告越来越受到人们的关注，一个城市、一个地区、一个国家公益广告的水平，成为这个城市、地区、国家民族文化道德水准和社会风气的重要标志,因此公益广告语的翻译就显得尤为重要。我国公益广告业起步晚，但发展快。汉语公益广告的英译不成熟，翻译水平尚需提高。在翻译中做到吸引大众，让他们容易理解、记忆，如何使我们文化交流及宣传活动中，树立良好的形象，从而达到帮助人们树立正确的人生观、价值观这种预期效果就责无旁贷地成为公益广告语翻译的重要任务。
因此，本文通过对公益广告的语言特点进行研究，了解了语言的特点，总结出翻译公益广告的方法和原则。

Theme of World Aids Day and the Translation of Public Service Advertisements
Abstract
Dec 1, 2012 is the 25th World AIDS Day. In recent three years , the theme of World AIDS Day remains "Getting to Zero" by striving for zero new infections, zero discrimination and zero AIDS-related deaths. In modern society ,it has already becomes a very important means and a necessary tool for sending information, promoting social responsibility, uplifting international image and winning national honor.
Now people pay more attention to the PSA because the level of PSA in a city, a district and a country symbolizes its educational and ethical standards social conduct. Therefore, PSA translation has become more and more important. The PSA industry in China started late but develops fast. The translation of Chinese PSA into English is not quite mature and needs to be improved. PSA language has some distinctive features. How to translate PSA to make them easy to understand and more appealing and effective? How to translate PSAs to set up a good image in cross-cultural communication. How to set up right outlook on life values. All this have become the significant duty for PSA translation.
In this paper, I will analyze the similarities and differences between Business Advertising and PSA so that we can clearly know the linguistic characteristics of English and Chinese PSA and conclude the translation means and principles of effective PSA translation.
