【内容摘要】

中西文化平衡点——李安“家庭三部曲”中的儿女形象解析


一直以来,跨文化交际是对外汉语专业研究的重要课题之一。作为跨文化电影的重要实践者,李安在“家庭三部曲”中通过光影来阐释他的中国文化观,并且探讨了在全球化背景下,中国文化与西方文化碰撞而生的多种可能性。因此,“家庭三部曲”可谓是跨文化交际的典型文本。
笔者主要立足于文化冲突理论,从影片中的儿/女形象入手分析李安的“家庭三部曲”,重点分析“儿女”在文化冲突中的地位与作用,并揭示其背后的文化内涵。
具体来说主要分为以下几个部分:
第一部分:“前言”,这一部分主要概述了研究背景和论文主要内容,并李安本人的文化经历及其为影片提供的文化渊源。
第二部分:“彷徨的游子——解析‘家庭三部曲’中儿女的文化身份”,这一部分主要在文化范畴论述了影片中儿女们的形象,以及体现在语言文化中的文化身份。
第三部分:“在冲突中平衡中西文化”,这一部分主要论述在文化冲突过程中,“儿女”所面临的困境和其做出的选择,并分析这背后的文化根源。
第四部分:“抵达平衡——中西文化的和解”,这一部分主要论述在文化冲突走向文化融合的背后,“儿女”如何为之做出努力与妥协,并分析其文化内涵。
本文的创新之处主要在于:不同于以往研究中对于“儿女”形象的忽视,本文重点研究影片中的“儿女”形象,分析其作为中西文化的交汇点,在文化冲突的过程中如何权衡两种文化。此外,本文还从影片中的语言文化入手,探讨汉语和英语两种语言之下的文化身份,分析语言在文化冲突中的作用。

Keeping Balance in Cultural Conflicts:  Analyzing the Son-and-Daughter Images in Ang Lee’s “Family Trilogy”
Abstract: Intercultural Communication is a very important subject in the research of TCFL.  As a significant practitioner of intercultural movies, Ang Lee expounds his view on Chinese cultural and demonstrates various possibilities of conflict between Chinese and western culture in the “Family Trilogy”. 
This paper mainly establishes in the theory of cultural conflict. Studying on the images of sons and daughters in the “Family Trilogy”, it analyses the role and effect of daughter in the process of cultural conflict and proclaims the cultural implication behind this phenomenon.
This paper mainly includes four parts as follow:
Firstly, the preface mainly summarizes the background and content of this paper. It also introduces Ang Lee’s cultural experience which lay the foundation for his films.
Secondly, the part of “vacillating immigrants -- the cultural identity of sons and daughters in the ‘Family Trilogy’” attach importance to analyzing the images of sons and daughters in term of culture. Moreover, it also proclaimed cultural identity through the application of language. 
Thirdly, the part of “balancing Chinese and western culture in conflicts” principally concentrates on the process of resolving problems. It discusses how the sons and daughters make choice when they are faced with the problems and it also announces the cultural reasons hidden from these choices.
Fourthly, in the part of “achieving balance -- the compromise of Chinese and western culture”, cultural integration is discussed principally. It analyzes what the sons and daughters have done to make two kinds of culture compromised to each other.
Different from the absence of sons and daughters in other papers studying on the “Family Trilogy”, this paper attaches importance to the images of sons and daughters. The images of sons and daughters are researched as the intersection of Chinese and western culture and the paper mainly explores how do they balance the two kinds of culture. What’s more, this paper also studies on the cultural connation of language used in the trilogy.
