英式英语和美式英语的差异探析

Abstract
As a world language, English has been fully used in many countries and places around the world. Due to different features of cultures, there are many varieties of English. British English and American English are two major dialects of English. This article introduces the differences between British English and American English and focuses on the words. The differences between British English and American English confuse lots of people and even cause embarrassment. There are internal differences and external differences between British English and American English. The differences are caused by many factors, such as historical factors, geographical factors, political factors and cultural factors. This paper describes the differences between British English and American English in terms of spellings, meanings, omissions and writing styles and introduces the causes of the differences between British English and American English, hoping to make people understand more about the differences.

摘  要
 英语作为一门世界性的语言，适用范围遍布世界各地区。介于不同文化特征，英语有很多变体。其中，英式英语和美式英语是英语的两个重要分支。本文介绍了英式英语和美式英语的差异并主要集中于词汇方面。英式英语和美式英语之间的差异是很多人混淆，而且还造成了许多误解。此外，这种差异不仅存在于语言内部，而且也存在于语言外部。英式英语和美式英语的差异主要由以下几个因素产生，受历史、政治、地理、文化等因素的影响。本文主要通过在单词拼写、意义、省略和写作方式等方面分析英式英语和美式英语的差异并介绍了产生差异的原因，意图使人们能够更加理解这种差异现象。
