论《马丁•伊登》所反映的社会现实

Jack London, a modern and productive writer in America, is one of the most famous realistic novelists in the world. Martin Eden is regarded as the writer’s autobiographical novel. Martin’s aspiration for dream, untiringly struggling on enterprise does not have a good end. His suicide of jumping into the sea reflects the hypocrisy and class antagonism of American society, as well as the failure of individualist who can not adapt to American society.

摘要：杰克•伦敦是美国现代多产作家,是美国文学史上著名的现实主义小说家之一。《马丁•伊登》被认为是作者的自传体小说。马丁•伊登对梦想的追求，对事业的不懈奋斗，到最后却没有获得好的结局。他跳海自杀的事实，反映了当时美国社会的虚伪和阶层对立，以及对当时社会不适应的个人主义者的失败之处。
