《愤怒的葡萄》的文体修辞分析

Abstract
The Grapes of Wrath is an American realistic novel written by John Steinbeck and published in 1939. The book won the National Book Award and Pulitzer Prize for fiction, and it was cited prominently when Steinbeck was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1962.
This thesis analyzed The Grapes of Wrath and Steinbeck’s writing style thoroughly. It catches the humanity that glimmers in barbaric times and summarizes the biblical elements and realism which combine subtly in the book. Steinbeck as a master of English, has a precise and excellent command of Oklahoman slang and he is adept at composing poetic and philosophical language.
By giving some introductions of the background and the main plots of the novel, this thesis intends to shed light on the biblical elements, figures of speech, stylistic analysis and wording of The Grapes of Wrath. Hopefully, this thesis will benefit future studies on The Grapes of Wrath. Author of this thesis believes that the paper will help readers to fully comprehend the novel, besides, it will do good to future researches that related to literary work’s stylistic analysis.

摘  要
《愤怒的葡萄》是美国作家约翰·斯坦贝克于1939年出版的现实主义巨著。这本书获得过美国国家图书奖和普利策奖，作者在1962年获得诺贝尔文学奖时，这本书也被提及，并受到诸多褒扬。
本篇论文旨在通过文体修辞分析，对《愤怒的葡萄》和斯坦贝克的语言风格进行细致解读，在分析文体修辞的同时感知这篇现实主义巨著中闪烁的人性光芒。论文也总结了斯坦贝克独到的圣经语言和现实主义风格，以及他对平实的俄克拉荷马方言和诗歌般哲理语言的非凡驾驭功底。
