“土豪”一类网络流行语的语义扩大机制浅析

众所周知，一个单词可以具有多个意义。主要分为基本意义和延伸意义。随着网络的快速发展，人们拥有了更多的话语自由。“土豪”一类的许多旧词在网络中增添了新义，并且流行于大街小巷。本篇论文搜集了当下使用频繁的“土豪”、“宝宝”、“鲜肉”等网络流行语作为研究对象；采用俗词源和隐喻两重机制相结合的分析方法，对“土豪”一类网络流行语的语义扩展做出了基本的描述。最后，本篇论文对“土豪”一类网络流行语的语义扩大趋势进行了预测。尽管这两种机制在创造词汇新义上表现出了任意性，但其任意性也在一定程度上受到了规约。更为重要的是，两种机制的运用在语义扩大方面给我们的语言注入了无限的活力。

ABSTRACT

It is known to all that a word may have more than one meaning. For a word, it mainly has an original meaning and some additional meanings. With the rapid development of Internet, people get a promotion of speaking rights. Many words as “Tuhao” begin to be given new meanings in the Internet and become popular in people’s daily life. This thesis selects such network popular words as “Tuhao” “Baobao” and “Xianrou” as objects of study, employs mechanisms of folk etymology and metaphorical reasoning, to make a fundamental description of meaning broadening of these words. At the end, this thesis makes a general prediction on the trends of meaning broadening of such network popular words. Although they show arbitrariness in creating new meaning, they are applied based on conventions to some degree. More importantly, they inject infinite creative force into our language.
