《吃碗茶》的艺术特征分析An Analysis of Artistic Features on Eat a Bowl of Tea
Abstract
Eat A Bowel of Tea which is written by Chinese American writer Louis Chu’s is a milestone in the history of Chinese American literature. It was the first Chinese American novel set in Chinese America. Because of its portrayal of the “bachelor society” in New York’s Chinatown after World War II, it has become an important work in Asian American studies.
The hero of the novel, Ben Lay came to China and married his young wife. After marriage, he returned to the United States with his wife. However, his wife had an affair with Ah Song. Then, his father cut off one ear of Ah Song. Ah Song reported to the police. Finally, they all left Chinatown in New York. The couple moved to San Francisco. With the help of traditional Chinese medicine and his wife, he cured the disease and began a truly independent family life. This is the end of the Chinese Bachelor society.
The exploration of this subject is made in four steps. The first part of the paper briefly introduces the fiction in the structure of Eat A Bowl of Tea and the ethic embodied in the novel. The second part emphasizes on his two clues of storyline. The third part contrasts the great varieties of conflict. Such as the conflict of the times, the conflict of different culture, and so on. Finally, the paper analyses the artist feature in this book.
Finally, although there are some people have already discussed, this paper intends to analyze the artistic features from the writing technique and the use of language.

摘 要
《吃碗茶》是由美国华裔作家雷庭招所写。该小说为美国华裔文学史中的一部里程碑之作。这是第一部以美国华裔为背景的华裔小说。由于该小说描写的是二战后纽约唐人街的“光棍社会”，它成为美国华裔研究的一项重要参考文献。
小说主人公宾来在父亲的劝说下回中国并娶了年轻的妻子美爱。婚后，他携妻子返回美国。但是，妻子与阿松偷情。然后，宾来的父亲割掉了阿松的一只耳朵。阿松报警。最后，他们都离开了华人街纽约。宾来夫妻俩移居旧金山。在中药和妻子的帮助下宾来治好了病，开始了真正独立的家庭生活，华人单身汉社会到此也象征性的结束了。
本文共分四个部分组成。论文的第一部分简要介绍了《吃碗茶》的故事架构中运用到的虚构以及其蕴含的家庭伦理观念。第二部分则分析它的两条故事线。第三部分则对比书中存在的各种冲突。例如时代的冲突，不同文化的冲突等等。最后一部分则分析作者在表达主旨时运用到的叙事和抒情的艺术手法。
最后，虽然前人早有论述，本文拟将从写作手法和语言运用的角度分析其艺术特色。
