读者信息管理（Reader Information Management）是一种旨在改善图书馆与读者之间关系的新型管理机制，
它实施于图书馆的服务与技术支持等与读者有关的领域,其目的是通过管理与读者间的互动，努力减少读者在图书馆借阅书籍时所花费的时间和及时了解读者需求。读者信息管理系统（RIM）是把有关市场和读者的信息进行统一管理、共享，并能进行有效分析处理的新型应用系统，它为图书馆内读者服务等提供全面的支持。在帮助图书馆缩减读者信息查询时间、及时了解读者需求、增加图书馆的经济效益，提高读者的价值RIM具有很广阔的应用空间。
本文就此对读者信息管理系统（RIM）在图书馆中的实现进行市场分析，并通过对此系统的设计来完成本系统在图书馆中的实现。首先对系统进行可行性分析和需求分析，通过技术的可行性、经济可行性、选择方案的可行性以及图书馆读者信息管理的需求，来确定开发这一系统的必要性。其次通过对该系统概要设计和详细设计来实现该系统的主要功能，这其中概要设计包括确定读者信息管理系统的具体功能，也就是将整个系统划分为许多个功能模块，每个功能模块完成对应的处理操作；然后进行详细设计（代码设计、输入设计、输出设计和数据库设计），并通过充分利用Visual Basic强大的数据库管理功能及在应用程序开发上高效、灵活以及SQL查询语句，界面友好，功能较强的特点来实现RIM的基本功能：资料管理功能、读者投诉功能和日程管理功能。另外就计算机的维护也作出了较为详细的说明，通过对系统硬（软）件设施的维护来更好的提高系统效率。这样一来，经过一系列的研究分析、模型设计及功能实现，最终形成一套完整的图书馆读者信息管理系统。

ABSTRACT
Information management readers (Reader Information Management) is aimed at improving the relationship between libraries and readers of the new management mechanism, it is implemented in library services and technical support and other areas relevant to the reader, the purpose of the reader through the management and inter - interaction, efforts to reduce the reader in the library to borrow books at the time it takes the reader needs to understand and timely. Readers Information Management System (RIM) is the market and the reader's information management, sharing and effective application of analytical processing of the new system, which the reader for the library services to provide comprehensive support. Library in helping to reduce the time readers information, readers keep abreast of demand, the economic benefits of libraries to enhance the value of RIM users have a very broad application space.
In this paper, the readers on this information management system (RIM) in the library to achieve the analysis of the market and, through this system to complete the system in the realization of the library. First of all, the system to conduct a feasibility analysis and needs analysis, through the technical feasibility, economic feasibility, the feasibility of options for information management and library needs of the readers to determine the need for the development of the system.
