初中英语文化教学与跨文化交际能力的培养

With the development of communication and transportation, the globalization of world economy, interpersonal and intercultural communications become more and more frequent, the earth has become a 'small village'. In order to communicate efficiently with ones who have the different cultural backgrounds people should pay attention to cultivate the competence of cross-cultural communication. While increasing students' cultural awareness will help them to cultivate their competence of cross-cultural communication, we should emphasize on the cultural teaching in secondary school to improve students' competence of cross-cultural communication. It is known that the study on cross-cultural communication at home and abroad was started very late, the educational academy and schools haven't pay high attention to the cultural teaching. After my practice at school and interviewing some people, I realize that secondary school students had already mastered English well, but in the survey I found that they know little about western cultures. The differences between western countries and China become their main obstacle in cross-cultural communication. This thesis will analyse the current situation of cultural teaching in secondary schools, and the reasons why teachers can't teach much about culture in the class for one or another reason. At the same time, I analyse the relationship between culture and the competence of cross-cultural communication. And I also try to analyse from the angle of the educational system, teaching materials and teaching methods. I conclud that we should emphasize on cultivating the competence of cross-cultural communication, changing the old teaching materials ---emphasize the knowledge while ignore the knowledge of culture, promoting teaching should be student-centered, increasing students' cultural awareness, developing the communicative competence and finally achieve effective communication. The aim of this thesis is to research the cultural teaching in secondary school to make English teaching be carried forward more effectively in order to cultivate the studengts' competence of cross-cultural communication.

摘要:随着国际交往与交通的发展,世界经济的全球化,人与人之间,国与国之间的交际越来越频繁,地球成了一个小小的"村落"。为了能与来自不同文化的人们顺利沟通,个体必须注重跨文化交际能力的培养。提高学生的文化意识对培养学生跨文化交际能力有着至关重要的作用,所以初中教学中应注重文化教学,以提高学生的跨文化交际能力。
  但由于国内外跨文化交际的研究起步较晚,教育部门及学校还没对文化教学还没引起高度重视。在实习及访问的过程中发现初中生对英语都有了很好的掌握,但经调查,学生对西方文化了解得相当少,因此在跨文化交际中文化的差异成了他们进行跨文化交际的主要障碍。本文分析了初中英语文化教学现状中由于种种原因,教师未能在课堂上引入较多的西方文化知识。同时还分析了文化与跨文化交际能力的关系,以及英语文化教学对培养跨文化交际能力所起的作用,并试图从外语教学制度、内容及方法上分析,认为应更加注重学生交际能力的培养,改革以往只强调语言知识而忽略文化知识的教学内容,提倡以学生为中心,提高学生的文化意识,形成跨文化交际的能力,达到有效的交际。
  本论文旨在对初中英语文化教学进行研究,从而推进初中英语教学的发展,进而培养学生的跨文化交际能力。
