中美身势语的文化差异

摘要：身势语是文化的一部分。在不同文化中，身势语的意义也不完全一样。各民族有不同的非语言交际方式。例如：不同的民族在谈话时，对双方保持多大距离才合适有不同的看法；在目光接触这一方面也有许多规定：看不看对方，什么时候看，看多久，什么人可以看，什么人不可以看；在交流中这些都暗示了不同的意思；脸部表情也因个人和文化而异；打手势时动作稍有不同，就会与原来的意图有所区别，对某种手势理解错了，也会引起意外的反应等等。本文拟通过揭示身势语在日常交流中的重要性并介绍各种不同的身势语及其文化差异，目的是尽量减少跨文化交际中的摩擦冲突，使其更加轻松容易。

On the Cultural Differences between the Chinese and American Body Languages
Abstract: Body language is a part of culture. In different cultures, the significance of body language is not exactly the same. Different nationality has different ways of non-verbal communication. For example, different nations have different views on how to maintain the proper distance between the two sides when having a conversation.  Eye contact in this aspect also has many rules: ‘Whether to look at the other communicator or not; when it is the time to look at them, how long we can look at; who we can look at and who we can’t; they all imply different meanings in communication’ [1]; facial expressions vary from different individuals and cultures as well; when the gesture is slightly different, it may different from the original meanings. If you misunderstand the gesture, it may lead to accidents and so on. This paper reveals the importance of body languages through day-to-day communication and introduces a variety of body languages and cultural differences, the purpose is to minimize conflict and friction in cross-cultural communication and to make it much easier.
