借鉴美国高校经验完善我校区志愿服务模式
Abstract

With the successful holding of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the impact of volunteer services is becoming greater and greater in China. In recent years, Chinese people think highly of the effect of volunteer service and the amount of volunteer increase largely, especially in universities and colleges. This paper aims at analyzing the current situation of volunteer service in the writer’s campus and providing suggestions to improve the mode of volunteer service by drawing on experiences from universities in the United States whose modes are more advanced and scientific. An advanced mode can attract more individual and organization to join voluntary activities and improve the quality in volunteer service. Producing a favorable voluntary environment can contribute to the harmony establishment in the writer’s campus. Reading some typically relevant books, journals and websites about volunteer service in American higher education were the methods to study the volunteer service modes in American universities, while questionnaire and interview were the main ways to analyzing the current situation and problems in the writer’s campus. The feasible suggestions given in this paper were integrated the local, basic situation in her campus with the advantages in the mode of volunteer service in the American universities. The suggestions are consisted of two aspects: Strategies of internal improvement for campus volunteer association and Strategies of policy improvement for the campus administrators. Developing a variety of members in campus volunteer association, developing community volunteer service as well as building major-feature volunteer teams are the strategies in the first aspect. The second aspect includes three strategies: innovating the volunteer encouragement mechanism, upholding rights and interests of volunteers and Exploring finance support resources. The author hopes the results of this paper can give guides and enlightenment to the improvement of the volunteer service modes in her campus.

中文摘要

随着2008年北京奥运会的成功举办，志愿服务在中国的影响越来越大。近些年，中国人十分重视志愿服务的积极作用，志愿者人数也在不断地大幅度增加，高校尤为显著。本论文旨在通过研究作者所在校区志愿服务的现状和问题，以及借鉴美国高校先进、科学的志愿服务模式来完善其所在校区的志愿服务模式。先进、完善的模式不仅能够吸引更多的个人和组织参与志愿服务中去，而且可以提高服务质量，在校区内营造良好的志愿氛围，从而有利于和谐校区的建设。参考有关美国高校志愿服务的书籍、期刊和网站是本文研究美国高等教育中志愿服务模式的方法；而探究作者所在校区志愿服务的现状和问题主要用研究方法是问卷调查法和专业人事采访法。文中所提建议融合了作者所在校区志愿服务的实际情况以及对美国高校先进模式的借鉴，是切实可行的。这些建议包或两大方面：其校区青年志愿者服务队的内部改善策略以及校区领导层在制度上的改善策略。第一方面的具体策略包或发展志愿者成员的多样性、发展社区服务以及建立专业特色的服务分队；第二方面的具体策略包或改革志愿者激励机制、维护志愿者权利和利益以及拓宽资金筹集渠道。作者希望本论文的成果能够给予所在校区志愿服务模式的改进带来一些指引和启示。
