论美式英语对大学英语教学的影响

英语是当今社会分布最广的语言。 在第二次世界大战后, 随着美国政治和经济的迅猛发展, 美式英语开始流行起来。与此同时, 美式英语与英式英语之间的差异明显增加了。文章通过美式英语与英式英语之间的比较, 在其他专家学者的基础上阐述了美式英语产生的背景, 进而证明美式英语具有独特的特点。 除此之外, 文章通过大量具有代表性的实例初步探究了美式英语的重要性和必要性。文章首先从历史，文化，政治和经济等方面描述了美式英语形成的背景。其次，文章分别从发音，词汇，语法和俚语等方面讨论了美式英语的特点。文章最后讨论了美式英语的影响及未来发展趋势，而且对大学英语教学提出了一些建议。总之, 笔者希望对美式英语的初步探究能够对大学英语教学有所启示, 并希望人们能够更加好地学习和灵活运用英语这门语言.

The Influence of American English on College English Teaching and Learning
 
ABSTRACT

There has never been a language so widely spread or spoken by so many people as English in the current society. After the Second World War, American English became popularity with the political and economic development rapidly of America. Meanwhile, the differences between American English and British English increased obvious. According to the comparison between the American English and British English, this thesis elaborates the background of American English based on the achievement made by other experts and scholars and proving that American English has its own characteristics. Moreover, this thesis makes an initial study on the importance or necessity of American English with a considerable number of convincing examples. Firstly, this paper describes the forming background of American English from history, culture, politics and economy. Secondly, this paper discusses the characteristics of American English in pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and slang. Lastly, this paper discusses the influence of American English and its future tendency, moreover, it also makes several suggestions about college English teaching and learning. In a word, the writer hopes that he initial research on the American English may give enlightenment for college English teaching and learning. The writer also hopes the people can study English better and use it more flexible.
