摘  要

商务英语信函是国际贸易中不可缺少的沟通工具,有其独特的写作原则和语言风格。最有效的商务书信应该易读易懂,友好而客气。写信人必须始终牢记商务书信对发展友好的贸易关系起着重要的作用。商务信函是国际贸易的双方进行书面商务信息沟通的重要手段,撰写的成功与否对企业的业务有着极其重要的影响。商务英语信函的写作是有规律可循的。本文通过详细的例证,深入地阐释了商务英语信函写作中应该遵循特有的基本原则,即礼貌、体贴、完整、清楚、简洁、具体和准确,进一步探讨和揭示了此类写作中的理论依据;商务信函主要有两个目的,一是告知,二是说服.本文通过例证和分析阐述如何写这两种信函。和来自不同国家和地区的商务人士进行商务沟通还应注意对方的文化背景和社会习俗,并善于使用商务英语信函中套语和特殊表达法。无论使用何种方式的商务信函都应该注意语气、态度、用词和符号的选择。本文以实例对以上几个方面分别加以阐述。

ABSTRACT

Business English letter is a necessary communication tool in international trade. It has its own particular writing principles and styles. The most effective business letter should be easy to read and easy to understand. They must be friendly and courteous. The writer should fix the point that business letters play an important role in the development of relationship in business. Business English letters are the major means of written communication between two parties in the international trade. Their writing is very important for business and the enterprise. Fortunately, some writing principles and techniques can be used. For the purpose of an effective business letter, some specific writing principle should be applied. They are: courtesy, consideration, completeness, concreteness, clarity, conciseness and correctness. Through detailed illustrations, the fundamental principles of business letter writing were revealed and explored together with some theoretical bases. Writing a business letter generally has two purposes, one is to deliver information, and the other is to persuade. How to write these two letters will be discussed in this paper by illustrations. When you communicate with others who come from different countries or regions, you also should pay attention to their social customs. At the same time, you should pay attention to the approach of business communication. You should use the commonly used expressions and specific statements in business letter. Attention should be paid to the tone, attitude, choice of words, signs and cliché, which will be explained with examples in the thesis.
