Comments on Pride and Prejudice Comments on the marriage in Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice”
Abstract
"Pride and Prejudice" is Jane Austen's early masterpiece, but also represent the characteristics of her writings. The English novelist Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" is a book about the daily life of the 18th to the 19th century in a conservative and isolated state of the British town. The Bennet's five daughters treated the marriage in their own different ways and attitudes reflecting the young women's view of marriage in rural middle—class family background.In this paper, I am trying to point out how the author developed her characters in the process of their marriage relationships, and how she described the reality of the bourgeois marriage as well as her ideal on marriage.(130)
