英语委婉语在教学中的运用
摘要
委婉语不仅是一种社会语言现象，更是一种文化现象。它广泛且生动的应用于人们的日常生活中，已成为语言交流中不可或缺的一种沟通策略。这篇文章探究了委婉语在教学中的应用，它遵循人本性原则，发展性原则和科学性原则，在教学工作中发挥着避讳功能，礼貌功能，评价功能和幽默功能。委婉语用于教师话语，作为教学材料，还可作为对学生的书面评价,运用委婉语能够创设一个轻松、和谐、活泼的学习环境，进而实行教学和考核工作。通过在教学中应用委婉语，学生们的信心会上升,主动性能增强,从而取得良好的教学效果。

The Use of English Euphemism in the Teaching Application
ABSTRACT
Euphemism is not only a social language phenomenon, but also a cultural phenomenon. It is widely and vividly used in people’s daily life and has become an indispensable device in language communication. This paper explores its application in the teaching work. Following the humanist principle, the developmental principle and the scientific principle, euphemism can be used to avoid taboo words, show politeness, give evaluation and behave humorously. Teachers’ applying euphemisms in teacher talk, in teaching material and in teachers’ written evaluation on students’ learning can create a relaxing, harmonious and lively learning atmosphere to carry out the teaching and assessment work. Through applying euphemism in the teaching process, students’ confidence could be elevated, their initiative could be enhanced and good teaching results could be attained.
