On Contradictory Personalities of the Tragic Hero Severus Snape in Harry Potter
Abstract
Severus Snape is the key figure of Harry Potter series. At first, people hated him because of his coldness and turpitude. After the tragic hero showed his buried memories, people began to understand him. Undoubtedly, his personality is full of complexity and contradiction, and it is hard to determine his behavior, but he is still a hero. This article analyzes the complexity of his personality and the causes, including his family background, school experience and love experience. Thus, we can better understand the subject of the work and the complexity of human nature.
