 The Application of Scaffold Instruction in English Writing Teaching
摘 要

英语写作是一种综合能力的训练,考察学生对各项基本能力的全面应用,正因如此,才导致学生害怕写作,教师也困扰于如何才能提高学生的写作能力。本文将以建构主义教学模式下的支架式教学法为指导原则,探讨英语写作教学的总体思路和写作教学环节的组织构建。传统的教学模式既不能保证教学质量与效率,也使得教材编写的指导思想和教学意图没能得到很好的贯彻,而支架式教学则能实现最大程度上以学生为中心。建构主义教学理论下的支架式教学是通过为学生搭建一套恰当的概念框架,借助具体情景,帮助学生独立探讨,实现对知识意义的建构。该理论注重学生的现有水平,促进学生现有水平向潜在发展水平的转变,为写作教学提供了很好的指导作用,希望能够有助于英语写作教学的发展。

Abstract

English writing is a practice of the comprehensive skill in the basic ability of using language, causing students are fear of English writing and teachers also struggle with how to improve the students' writing ability. This research takes Scaffold Instruction in the Constructive Theory as its guilding principle. It explores for an ideal general design for English composition learning and for a suitable scaffold to assist students with effective elements, helping teachers to organize various activities for middle school English writing teaching. Unlike traditional teaching model, which can not guarantee the education quality and efficiency, and also fail to implement the key purpose of the guiding thought in compiling teaching materials, Scaffold Instruction is mostly centered by students under teachers’ proper organization. Scaffold Instruction based on the Constructive Theory is helping students to probe into knowledge by themselves and achieve the construction of knowledge by constructing a series of appropriate conceptual frameworks and concrete circumstances at last. It pay more attention to students' current level, promoting the transfermation from current level to the potential development level. The theory is intended to provide English teachers with a better guidline in their Enlish writing teaching.
