苔丝与杜十娘悲剧人物性格的对比The contrast and Comparison of the Tragic characteristics between Tess and DuShiniang
Abstract
Among all the articles of Thomas Hardy，the masterpiece should be Tess of the D’Urbervilles which owns great reputation. In this novel, Hardy builds a tragedy character—Tess who was seduced, abandoned and later seduced, abandoned. About 100 years before, DuShiniang, this wrote by FengMenglong in Ming Dynasty (1643). In this novel, the Chinese novelist used the tragic character of the heroine to express the story of Madam DuShi-niang’s seeking of love. Though these two novels were accomplished by two different novelists, if we compare them carefully, we can find that there are close relationships between them. Tess and DuShiniang, these are two famous tragic heroines in the history of China and foreign literature. Until now so many literature critics consider them weak. But I find feminism from them. I plan to conclude the similarities and difference between them, pursuing the independence and freedom of women. Gunning for the equality of woman’s right.

中文摘要
在托马斯•哈代所有的作品中，最负盛名要算《德伯家的苔丝》(以下简称《苔丝》)，在这部作品中，哈代为读者塑造了栩栩如生的悲剧人物形象──苔丝。在这100多年前的中国明朝万历年间，中国小说家冯梦龙在《杜十娘怒沉百宝箱》为读者塑造另一悲剧性的人物杜十娘，讲述一个主人公为追求个人幸福而最终以悲剧结局的感人故事。虽然这二部作品是出自二位不同的作家之手，但苔丝与杜十娘这二位主人公的悲剧命运却有诸多的相同之处。但是到目前为止国内外的很多学者都把苔丝和杜十娘视为弱者，很少人从女性主义的角度就这二位主人公的悲剧特性做出评论。本文旨在通过比较苔丝与杜十娘之间悲剧的相同点与不同点，从而呼吁女性的独立与自主，宣扬女权的精神。
