《傲慢与偏见》中女性主义的分析

Abstract

    This paper aims to discuss the appearance of female self-consciousness in the 19th century of Victory Age by comparing Elizabeth Bennet, Darcy, Charlotte Lucas, Collins, Lydia Bennet, Mrs. Bennet and other characters’ views of marriage in Pride and Prejudice to indicate that Elizabeth, who holds ration and independence towards marriage is the representative coming up with distinct female self-consciousness. This reflects the author holds the opinion that independence and respect towards female in marriage. The author also indicates that it’s wrong if marriage only based on wealth, money and status. Marriage should be based on love of both sides. This article starts with the social background of 19th century of Victory Age and analysis the type of attitude towards marriage under the affect of major social concept. The viewpoints towards marriage reflect the appearance of female self-consciousness in 19th century enjoy both advantage and imperfection, for majority of people in the 19th century still attach great importance to the effect which bring about wealth and social position. However, the female self-consciousness, especially the ideal female self-consciousness represented in the Pride and Prejudice laid a solid foundation to the development of equality in future.

 摘要

本文以论述十九世纪维多利亚时代女性意识的出现为目的，通过对比伊丽莎白与达西，夏洛蒂与柯林斯，丽迪雅和班内特太太等小说人物的性格，婚姻观，突出以伊丽莎白理性和独立的婚姻观为女性意识的代表，反映出作者对女性应独立，自尊的精神，同时也表明了作者对认为婚姻仅以财产、金钱和地位而结婚是错误的，应以男女双方感情作为缔结理想婚姻的基石的思想。文章从十九世纪维多利亚的社会背景入手，分析在其社会主要思想影响下不同的婚姻观,反映了女性意识在十九世纪的渐起既有进步性，又有不完整性，主要表现在十九世纪人们仍相当重视金钱和社会地位对婚姻的影响，但女性意识的觉醒,尤其是《傲慢与偏见》中作者理想的女性意识表现,对日后男女平等思想的发展奠定了基础。
