Cultural Differences in the Western and Chinese Diet
Abstract: As Western and Chinese culture have experienced different development process, differences exist everywhere, from the natural environment, customs, religion and cultural to the diet culture. In the context of globalization, intercultural communication becomes the basic premise of communication and dialogue today; also it provides us with many opportunities for Western contacts and exchanges. Therefore, studying Chinese and Western diet cultural meaning of language helps to avoid cultural conflict, to further enhance cross-cultural communication skills.

摘 要：中西方文化由于经历了不同的发展历程,从自然环境、风俗习惯、宗教文化到饮食文化等差异无所不在。在全球化的背景下,跨文化成了当今交际和对话的基本前提,同时,也为我们提供了许多与西方人接触和交流的机会。因此,研究中西民族的饮食文化有利于避免文化冲突,进一步提高跨文化交际的能力。
