颜色词在中英文化中的意义

颜色词，是人类认知世界的一个重要领域，是人们对客观世界的一种感知。无论是在大自然中还是社会活动中，都存在着各种各样的颜色词。颜色词有一定的象征意义和社会属性，有着丰富的文化内涵和延伸意义，对人类的生活有着举足轻重的影响。在汉英文化中，由于思维方式、社会制度、传统习俗、地理环境，民族心理和其它因素的影响，导致两个民族对同一颜色词内涵的理解既有相同点，也有差异。本文通过对汉英两种语言中颜色词的文化异同点进行五个部分的分析比较：（1）红色在中英文化中的异同点，（2）白色在中英文化中的异同点，（3）黑色在中英文化中的异同点，（4）黄色在中英文化中的异同点，（5）绿色在中英文化中的异同点。通过举例和分析文化历史的原因，作者讨论了中英颜色词的异同点，旨在准确理解颜色词，有助于英语的学习，提高学习者语言的理解和表达能力，使跨文化交际变得更加顺畅。

The Meanings of Color Words in Chinese
and English Cultures
Abstract
As one of human’s perceptions to the objective world, color is an important field in which human observe the world. There is a mass of colors in natural and social life which have certain symbolic meanings and social qualities as well as large amount of cultural connotations and extended meanings. Because of the ways of thinking, different social systems, traditional customs and national psychologies, there are similarities and differences in the comprehension and usage of color words in Chinese and English cultures. The author makes a analysis of the cultural similarities and differences between Chinese and English color words in five aspects: (1) red is used in the same and different senses in Chinese and English cultures, (2) white is used in the same and different senses in Chinese and English cultures, (3) black is used in the same and different senses in Chinese and English cultures, (4) yellow is used in the same and different senses in Chinese and English cultures, (5) green is used in the same and different senses in Chinese and English cultures. By listing examples and analyzing the cultural and historical reasons the author talks about the similarities and differences between Chinese and English color words, with the purpose of having a better understanding of color words, helping the learner with their English learning, promoting their ability of understanding and expressing thus making the cross-cultural communication much easier and effective.
