大学生如何提高英语阅读能力

ABSTRACT

Reading is an important way to acquire knowledge; reading English material is the best way to get the up-to-date information. Nowadays, as the society is developing more and more rapidly, we need the latest technology desperately more than before. Consequently, the ability to get information from English material should be developed and improved. As to university students, this ability is especially important, for it can not only help students to make a good performance in English study, but also contribute to their performance in other aspects.
However, there are various problems existed in English reading comprehension among university students, such as low reading speed, poor vocabulary, ignorance in background information, and so on. These problems keep students from reading efficiently and need to be solved by every means.
The thesis concentrates on the importance of reading ability for university students. As reading ability is so important for our university students, we should improve the ability through certain measures. We should develop good habits to improve our reading speed, and it is also important to enlarge our vocabulary, strengthen culture background knowledge. Only if we know the importance of reading and try our best to improve the ability can we learn English better and develop ourselves comprehensively.

摘  要

阅读是获得知识的重要途径，而阅读英文材料则是获取最新知识的最好方式。当前，社会发展越来越快，我们比以往更迫切地需要最新的科学知识。因此，从英文材料中获取信息的能力亟待培养和发展。对于大学生而言，这种能力不仅可以帮助提高他们在英语学习方面的提高，而且能促进在其他方面的发展。
然而，在大学生的英语阅读中却存在着各种各样的问题，例如：阅读速度慢、词汇量小、缺乏背景知识等。这些问题是大学生们不能高效地阅读，因此需要以各种方式解决。
在这片文章中，我们要讨论英语阅读对大学生的重要性。鉴于英语阅读对大学生的重要性，我们应该以各种方式提高此能力。例如，我们应该培养良好的阅读习惯来提高阅读速度，扩大我们的词汇量，强化文化背景知识。只有我们了解了英语阅读的重要性并付诸于努力提高，我们才可以更好地学习好英语并以此在促进自己的全面发展。
