“信、达、雅”翻译原则在电影片名中的应用

摘    要

我国近代翻译家严复提出的“信、达、雅” 翻译原则是影响最为深刻的，而且至今已有新内涵。“信、达、雅” 翻译原则不只用于文本翻译中，在电影翻译中也适用。电影作为一种影像艺术，在促进各国文化交流方面起了很重要的作用。电影的翻译是介绍异国文化，也是传播本民族文化的一种简洁直观的手段。而电影片名的翻译又是影片翻译中的重中之重，它承载了介绍电影主要内容、类型、风格等的重任。电影片名的好坏直接影响到观众的喜恶，乃至票房的收入。
本文希望通过一系列获得上佳口碑的电影片名的翻译实例，分析“信、达、雅”翻译原则的具体应用，并归纳总结出几种常见的翻译方法,即:音译法、直译法、意译法、音译和意译、直译和意译的译法。希望能有更多的翻译工作者翻译出佳作来，进而为东西方的文化交流做出更大的贡献。

Abstract

The three principles of Faithfulness, Expressiveness and Elegance raised by Yan Fu, have profound impact and have been given new connotation. Faithfulness, Expressiveness and Elegance not only suitable for text translation, but also apply in movie title translation. As a video art, movie plays an important role in the promotion of country to country cultural exchanges. Translation of the movie is a concise and intuitive means to introduce and spread foreign cultures. The translation of movie titles is very important in movie translation, which conveys the main content, type, style and so on. A good movie title may have a direct impact on the audience's likes and dislikes, and even the box office returns.
This dissertation is to analyze the specific applications of Yan Fu’s three principles of Faithfulness, Expressiveness and Elegance through a series of movie titles which have obtained good comments, and summarizes several common translation methods, i.e., transliteration, literal translation, free translation, transliteration and free translation, literal translation and free translation. The writer hopes more translators will translate more excellent and inspiring movie titles to make greater contribution to Eastern and Western cultural exchange.
