归化策略在电影字幕翻译中的应用—以《功夫熊猫1》为例
ABSTRACT
As we know, in our daily life, film is a very direct and good way to reflect culture and social life. Nowadays, people’s living standard is improved immensely , people now pay much attention to enhance their spiritual attainment by various ways. In our daily life, one of the most common ways to enrich one’s mental state is watching films, especially foreign films. At present, due to technology develops, there are more and more ways for people to get various movies that they want, for example: through DVD, VCD or download from the Internet directly. At the same time, more and more people are ready to regard foreign film as a tool to learn a foreign language. However, films in different countries are usually endowed with different culture elements or special background. How to deal with the cultural factors according to the characters of subtitle will greatly influence the translation quality and the audiences’ understanding of the film. In China, film subtitle translation is a very new field in translation area, but in recent years, with the development of domestic film industry and the import of foreign films, film subtitle translation is becoming more and more important as well as more and more popular. Therefore, the status of film subtitle translation is rapidly increasing. Only if with the appropriate film subtitle, can a good film be spread during different countries, and be fully appreciated by people all over the world. Generally compared with translation of literary works, translation of foreign films usually attracts more receivers for its popular style and easy accessibility. Among many translation strategies, domesticating and foreignizing strategies are the most common approaches in film subtitle translation. However, when it comes to culture elements or characteristics with special and certain background, generally domesticating translation strategy is the first choice among many translators. In recent years, the film Kung Fu Panda 1 achieved great success all over the world, especially in China. Its great success lies in not only the film itself but also the excellent subtitle translation. Domesticating translation strategy is mainly adopted in Kung Fu Panda 1, by which can greatly motive Chinese audience’s great native feelings. In this paper, the author try to do some research on the application of domesticating translation strategy in film subtitle translation, in order to illustrate this strategy well , twenty-one examples are given from Kung Fu Panda 1 to express the application of domesticating strategy in film subtitle translation.

摘 要
众所周知，在我们的日常生活中，电影是体现文化与社会生活的一种直接的非常好的方式。现如今，人们的生活水平得到了极大地提高，人们开始更加注重通过各种方式来提高他们的精神境界。在日常生活中，人们提高精神素养最常见的方式就是电影，尤其是国外电影。目前，由于科学技术的发展，人们可以通过越来越多的方式来获得他们所想要的电影，比如通过DVD、VCD或者直接在网站上下载。与此同时，越来越多的人把国外电影看作是一种学习外语的工具。然而，不同国家的电影都往往被赋予了不同的文化因素和特定的背景。如何根据字幕翻译的特点来处理这些文化因素将会极大地影响到影片翻译的质量和观众对影片的理解。
在中国，电影字幕翻译是翻译界中的新生领域。然而近年来，随着国内影视业的发展和国外电影的引进，电影字幕翻译变得越来越重要同时也越来越普遍。因此，字幕翻译的地位也随之迅速提高。只有通过恰当的字幕翻译，一部好的影片才能在不同国家传播，才能被世界范围内的观众充分理解。与文学作品翻译相比，由于影视作品翻译形式新颖，容易理解，因此外国影视作品吸引了越来越多的观众。在众多的翻译策略中，归化和异化策略是电影翻译中两种最为常见的方法。然而，当涉及到文化因素或具有特殊意义和特定背景的词语时，通常归化策略是众多翻译策略中的首选。近年来，《功夫熊猫1》在世界范围内尤其是在中国取得了巨大的成功。它的成功不仅在于电影本身，也在于它出色的字幕翻译。在《功夫熊猫1》中采用了大量的归化的翻译策略，同时也极大地激起了中国观众的民族之情。为了更好的阐述这种策略，本文采用了二十一个《功夫熊猫》字幕翻译的例句，来说明归化的翻译策略在影视字幕翻译中的应用。
