论《京华烟云》中的女性形象

摘 要

作为中国新旧交替时代下的一名典型文人，林语堂一生致力于“中西合璧的文化体系”的建构。这样一位“两脚踏东西文化，一心评宇宙文章”的大师，他的思想表现为传统与现代两种文化的融合。这种兼容并蓄的思想使林语堂对现代中国完美女性应有的品格有着独特的见解。这种完美女性观在其代表作《京华烟云》中得到了系统的阐释。本文对《京华烟云》中的几位女性形象进行分析和对比，从而得出结论：性格表现出多元性和互补性，既包含道家的人生态度和儒家的伦理观念，又容纳了西方的自由意识，具有东西文化的双重内涵，这就是林语堂对完美女性的品质定义。而书中的姚木兰正是这种中体西用，儒道合一的女性观的集大成者，是林语堂心中的理想女子。
