大学生英语写作动机的类型和专业差异
摘要:在外语学习中,写作是不可或缺的组成部分。然而,在如今的中国,外语写作的学习和教学状况却不尽人意。尽管一些针对英语写作的研究已经相当系统,但是很少有学者对学习者英语写作动机的类型作深入分析。
    通过对菏泽学院100名学生做定量问卷调查分析,着重探究如今的大学生英语写作动机的类型和专业差异。研究表明,大学生英语写作动机主要表现为取得成就型和认同调节型,且内部动机高于外部动机;另外,大多数学生已经认识到了英语写作的潜在重要性,相信英语写作能力的提升有助于帮助他们具备较高的自主决定动机能力;最后,英语专业和非英语专业学生在无动机和摄入调节型动机上存在显著差异,和英语专业学生相比,非英语专业学生的英语写作动机更加被动,且更容易受外部因素的控制。

College Students’ English Writing Motivation Types
 and Major Differences   
 
Abstract: As for foreign language learning, writing is an indispensable component. However, the present situation of college English writing teaching and learning in China is far from satisfactory. Although, many studies concerning college English writing have been carried out, but little of them shed lights on English writing motivation types.
    Employing quantitative approach by means of questionnaire to survey 100 students from Heze University, the present study mainly focuses on the English writing motivation with the purpose to probe into the general situation of college students’ writing motivation types and its major difference. The findings show that college students’ English writing motivations are mainly reflected in achievement and identified regulation types and their intrinsic motivation is higher than extrinsic motivation; in addition, most college students have figured out the potential value of the English writing and believe that the enhancement of their own English writing ability can help them to possess comparatively high self-regulatory capacity and self-determination; last but not least, there are significant major differences in “Amotivation Dimension” and “Introjected Regulation Type”. Compared to English major students, the non-English majors’ English writing motivation are much more passive and easier to be controlled by the external factors.
