《卡拉维拉斯县驰名的跳蛙》是十九世纪马克•吐温的批判现实主义的代表作，这部举世公认的杰作真可谓通体每个细胞都充溢着幽默情趣。本论文研究幽默在文中的体现，论文从人物描写、动物描写、欺骗手段,大量俚语和土语的应用以及突转的应用五个方面进行分析，阐释了美国社会和政治等方面的弊端。

Abstract

The Celebrated Jumping Frog in Calaveras County is the 19th century Mark Twain’s masterpiece of critical realism. This universally acknowledged masterpiece turns out to be imbued with humor. This paper studies the use of humor in the novel from the aspects of characters’ description, animals’ description, and method of deception, plentiful slangs and colloquial language, the application of reversal. It deeply interprets American social, political and other aspects of the drawbacks.
