在美国“迷茫的一代”是第一次世界大战后新兴起的一个文学流派。弗•司各特•菲茨杰拉德在《了不起的盖茨比》之中，结合自身经历，通过对男女主人公的思想的描述，深刻地揭露了美国“迷茫一代”逃避， 孤独，虚无，和享乐的四大精神特点。本论文从这四个方面，分析了美国二十世纪二三十年代的青年在经历残酷战争之后的精神和心理状态。

Abstract

In America, the Lost Generation is a new literary genre which came into being after the World War I. In The Great Gatsby, Francis Scott Fitzgerald, according his own experience, deeply exposed the four main spiritual characteristics of American lost generation, which were the escapism, the loneliness, the disillusionment and the hedonism. This thesis will analyze the mental and psychological state of young people from four aspects, who suffered the cruelty of the war in the 1920s and 1930s.
