An Analysis on Positive Factors for Children's Growth in Harry Potter Series

Abstract

     This paper is going to analyse Harry Potter series from the view of children's growth and it is intended to probe in what kind of environment children can grow up healthily. It begins with an introduction to several growth problems that children are confronted with nowadays, then exemplifies a couple of leading roles' growing experiences in Harry Potter series. In the end, the author raises her view that there are four main positive factors, which are creating an environment of love at home, training children to be independent, providing proper guidance and self-education. Through the thorough analysis, it will be clear to see what parents, school and even society could do to provide children a proper environment for their healthy growing up and owning a bright future.

本文将从儿童成长角度分析《哈利∙波特》系列小说，旨在探讨儿童在什么样的环境下能健康成长。本文先介绍当今儿童成长中所遇到的各种问题，然后通过举例论证《哈利•波特》系列小说中几个主要人物的成长经历从而得出本文作者的观点，即四个利于儿童成长的因素，分别是为孩子营造一个充满爱的氛围；培养儿童的独立性；外界给予的正确引导；儿童在成长过程中的自我教育。通过本文全面的分析，将为父母、学校乃至社会提供一些建议，即如何为儿童提供一个利于他们健康成长的环境，只有成长在这样的环境中，儿童才会拥有一个美好的未来。
