中西方数字文化对比及翻译

中文摘要

    语言是文化的组成部分而且是核心组成部分，反映着特定的文化内容。由于各自语言中所包涵的文化以及对数字的感知取向不同，故而赋予数字的文化涵义也尽显不同。因此，每个民族，每一种语言在其发展过程中形成了各自不同的数字文化。了解数词的文化内涵是翻译好数字的重要基础。本文不仅对汉英数字文化内涵的差异进行了解析而且提出了互译的方法以及应遵循的原则。

Abstract

    Language is an integral part and even a central part of culture, which reflects the specific cultural content. As the culture and the perceiving orientation of the numerals contained by each language vary, so the cultural meanings given to the numerals vary as well. Therefore, every nation and every language in the course of development have formed different cultures of numerals. To understand the cultural connotations of numerals is an important foundation of translating numerals successfully. This paper not only analyzes the differences between the cultural connotations of the English and the Chinese numerals, but also puts forward the translation methods and the principles to be followed.
