英文电影名翻译浅析

翻译研究在最近几十年飞速发展，影视翻译作为一个新兴的领域出现，在1995年最终被确立为一个独立的研究领域。随着中外文化交流的不断加强，外国电影作为文化传播的一种方式，被大量引入我国内地及港台地区，对人们生活的各个方面产生了很大的影响。电影是集艺术性与商业性于一体的的艺术形式，是最具有影响力的媒体之一。电影翻译也逐渐成为翻译园地中越来越重要的领域。好的译名能使电影锦上添花，在新片的推介过程中具有举足轻重的作用。遗憾的是，电影片名的翻译研究工作还做得远远不够，需要我们进一步去完善。本文将根据这些问题，从几个方面来阐述英文电影名翻译中的问题、翻译策略和技巧。

Abstract

Translation studies have been developing rapidly in recent several decades. Meanwhile, translation of the films came into being as a new filed which was finally established as an independent research area in 1995. With China’s increasing cultural communication with foreign countries, foreign films are pouring into China’s mainland as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan regions as a means of culture spread. Thus it has a great influence on every aspect of peopple’s life. The film, a popular art with both artistic and commerial values, is one of the most influential mass media nowadays. Film title transtion has become a more and more significant area of translation studies. An excellant version may contribute a lot to the charm of the film and plays an important part in the introduction of a new film. However, film title translation is an area that is far from being explored and needs to be made perfect. According to these problems, this article will talk about the questions, translation techniques and methods in the translation of English film tittles.
