电泳沉积法制备碳纳米管场发射阴极的研究

电泳沉积法制备碳纳米管场发射阴极的研究 本文通过对小直径碳纳米管的纯化、剪切,获得纯净的产物。采用不同表面活性剂,将碳纳米管分散在不同的溶液中,研究分散性能,获得分散良好的碳纳米管溶液。采用电泳沉积法,将碳纳米管沉积在不同基片上。用扫描电子显微镜对薄膜的形貌和结构进行表征,使用场发射测试仪器对所制备的薄膜阴极的场发射性能进行测试。实验结果表明,在表面活性剂SDS作用下,剪切过的碳纳米管能够均匀地分散于水溶液中。电泳沉积法能够获得致密的碳纳米管薄膜,该薄膜具有良好的场发射性能,在场强为10V/um的条件下,发射电流密度为60 uA/cm2。 关键词:碳纳米管;分散;电泳沉积法;场发射 Fabrication of field emission cathode of carbon nanotubes film by electrophoretic deposition Abstract: Small diameter carbon nanotubes (CNT) synthesized by CVD have been successfully cut into different lengths by ultrasonicating in mixed solution of sulfuric and nitric acids. A systematic study has been performed in order to find an appropriate medium for solubilization/dispersion of the resulting shorted carbon nanotubes. Our experimental results indicate that the carbon nanotubes formed stable dispersion state in the water with the help of the surfactant of SDS. The electrophoretic deposition was employed to fabricate the carbon nanotubes film from the suspension of carbon nanotubes. The parameters of the electrophoretic deposition were discussed, including electrode materials, deposition time, electrode separation, and deposition voltage. We investigated the resulting field emission properties for the film which showed an emission current density of 60 uA/cm2 and applied electric field of 10V/um. Carbon nanotubes films produced by electrophoretic deposition are promising candidates for field emission devices.
