商务信函写作中模糊语的应用

模糊语言学作为一门新科学也来到人们身边。对外贸易和商业竞争中，商务谈判有着举足轻重的地位，外经贸信函在越来越多的工作岗位及英文商务书面沟通中被应用，它的好坏越来越大程度地影响到商务交际的成败。在特定的商务语境中，根据具体的商务活动需要，恰当合理地运用模糊语言，对成功处理商务能够起着不可估量的作用，如:表示礼貌、实现自我保护、体现对方立场。对于成功的商界人士而言，良好的驾驭外经贸英语信函写作中应遵循的原则，自如地应用模糊语言，以确保商务活动交流的顺利进行。
作者希望对商务信函写作中的模糊语应用做一个深入探索。本文认为：同精确语言一样，模糊语言也是一种有用的表意手段。作者将会对模糊语现象的缘由进行展开描述，最终使商务谈判交流更加顺畅。全文将由五个部分 组成：第一部分是对商务信函写作中模糊语基本综述等；第二部分为此课题各内容的定义等。第三部分则从模糊语在商务信函写作中的功能谈起；第四部分详细介绍模糊语在商务信函中的应用。最后总结。成功地应用模糊语言, 在外经贸英语信函写作过程中具有十分重要的意义。

The Application of Vague Language in Business Letter Writing

Abstract: Vague language as a new science has come to the side of people. Business negotiation plays important role in foreign trade and commercial competition, and the business English letters are more and more used in negotiation. The letter is good or not will influence the results of business negotiation a lot. In the given condition, it is significant to use vagueness properly in the specific business circle, such as to show politeness, self-protection, and the position of the other party. For a successful businessman, it is important to make good command of the rules and skills in the business letter writing. In order to make the business activities go smoothly, it is better to use vague language properly.
In writing this thesis, the author intends to do some research on vague language in business letter writing. In this paper, the author holds the view that vague language in business English letter is a useful method to express ideas just as the same as the precise language. The author’s inspiration is to unfold the reasons behind the phenomenon of vague language and finally to make the business negotiation better. The thesis is divided into five parts: part one begins with the basic concepts about vague language in business letter writing. The second part introduces the definition and so on. The third part is to prove the points of the function of this study. The forth part gives us applications in different contents and the significance of vague language in English business letter writing. Finally, it comes to the conclusion. It is significant to make good command of vague language in business English letter writing.
