李约瑟眼中的中国传统文化现代性

根据李约瑟对中国传统文化的解释,本论文旨在探索和重新解释李约瑟对中国传统文化现代性的论述。中国传统文化所面临的问题是全球化时代背景下的现代性方面。论文主要探讨李约瑟是如何看待中国传统文化的，以及中国传统文化与近代中国的关系，在此基础上进一步探究中国文化的未来。本文选取中国古代先秦文化发展历程中儒道两家思想进行研究，在具体层面上对一些重要儒道理念对于现代中国的影响给予了充分的肯定。
李约瑟博士对中国传统文化有着高度的热情，并对其给予高度赞扬，他所提出的“李约瑟”难题引起了国内外专家学者的强烈兴趣。李约瑟的巨著《中国科学技术史》系统地记述了中国科学和技术的发展和辉煌历史。本文主要以其中第二卷《中国科学思想史》作为依据和参考，论述李约瑟眼中的中国传统文化现代性及中国文化的未来走向。在此基础上，本论文对李约瑟的中国传统文化观给予了评价。

Abstract

Based on Needham's interpretation of Chinese classical culture, this thesis is to explore and re-interpret Needham’s argument about modernity of Chinese classical culture. The problems Chinese culture faces are those of modernization in the era of globalization. In this dissertation, the problems how Needham treated Chinese classical culture and the relationship between Chinese classical culture and modern China are mainly discussed, on this basis to further explore the future of Chinese culture. The thesis selected Confucianism and Taoism which existed in the Qin dynasty as research objects. In specific level, it makes evolution on Confucianism and Taoism and its impact on modern China.
Dr. Joseph Needham speaks highly of Chinese classical culture and has a high degree of enthusiasm on it. The “Needham Puzzle” which is proposed by Joseph Needham has aroused scholars and experts’ strong interest at home and abroad. His monumental book "History of Science and Technology of China” has a systematic account of China's science and technology development and glorious history. In this paper, the second volume will be treated as a basis and reference, and it mainly discusses the modernity of Chinese classical culture in Needham’ eyes and the future direction of Chinese classical culture. On this basis, the paper gives an evaluation to Joseph Needham's view of Chinese classical culture.
